Islamic Jihad Reiterates Defending Al-Aqsa
Ahmed Al-Mudallal made the remarks in reaction to the Zionist regime’s raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque and an announcement by a Zionist group named ‘Temple’ about holding the flag march in the holy site.
He said such a move would be a prelude to extensive raid on Al-Aqsa during Jewish holidays.
He added that the Israeli regime’s extremist cabinet gives all-out support to illegal settlers to implement their plans against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
According to the Islamic Jihad official, the Zionist regime seeks to destroy the mosque and pave the way for settlers’ plans to be implemented at the site.
He said, however, that the Palestinian resistance will not allow the occupiers to carry out their agenda at Al-Aqsa.
“Our struggle against the Zionist occupiers will never stop but will continue until liberation of Al-Aqsa and holy al-Quds,” Mudallal stated.
He also called on Muslim countries and the international community to fulfill their responsibility and take action against the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression in holy al-Quds.
The annual flag march marks Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and al-Quds in 1967. It is organized by far-right Israeli settlers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied al-Quds.
The march is also an attempt by extremist settlers to slam what they call the Tel Aviv regime’s failure to deal with the Palestinians and affirm their presence in the occupied Palestinian city and its holy sites.
